Opportunities within Public Engagement
Leadership Team
The Leadership Team sets the practice’s strategic direction and supports consistent, high-quality service across offices and states. These team members oversee staffing, workload, training, recruitment, technology, business development, and client relationships while providing guidance on project scopes, budgets, and overall delivery.
Senior Specialists/Specialists
Senior Specialists and Specialists lead project strategy and execution, including developing engagement plans, scopes, budgets, key messages, collateral, and website concepts. They manage quality control, facilitate or participate in project meetings, support business development, and mentor coordinators and other developing staff.
Coordinators
Coordinators manage the day-to-day implementation of public engagement activities, including project hotlines and email accounts, documentation, collateral and website updates, canvassing efforts, and third-party communication tools. They participate in project meetings, follow established quality control processes, and may train or manage interns.
Assistant Coordinators/Interns
Assistant Coordinators and Interns provide hands-on support across project teams. Their responsibilities include assisting with canvassing and field outreach, monitoring hotline and email accounts, documenting stakeholder interactions, and shadowing project meetings.
